Law of wasted efforts

Do you know that lions only succeed in a quarter of their hunting attempts — which means they fail in 75% of their attempts and succeeds in only 25% of them.

Despite this small percentage shared by most predators, they don't despair in their pursuit and hunting attempts.

The main reason for this is not because of hunger as some might think but it is the understanding of the “Law of Wasted Efforts” that have been instinctively built into animals, a law in which nature is governed.

Half of the eggs of fishes are eaten...
half of the baby bears die before puberty...
most of the world's rains fall in oceans...
and most of the seeds of trees are eaten by birds.

Scientists have found that animals, trees, and other forces of nature are more receptive to the law of "wasted efforts".

*Only humans think that the lack of success in a few attempts is failure...* but the truth is that: we only fail when we *"stop trying".*

Success is not to have a life free of pitfalls and falls... but success is to walk over your mistakes and go beyond every stage where your efforts were wasted looking forward to the next stage.

If there is a word that summarizes this world, it will simply be: continue all over again.

World on ur shoulder

On a flight to Kuala Lumpur recently, I noticed a young girl of seven request the stewardess for an orange juice. The stewardess was probably over-worked and responded quite curtly with ‘I will come by later if I remember’.

The young girl smiled and got up to follow her to the galley. I noticed that she came back after a short while with a glass of orange juice.

As she was seated by the aisle next to me, I struck up a conversation with her. I asked her what she did when she went to the galley! She said she offered to help the stewardess if she had too much work. The stewardess apparently hugged her and appreciated her offer and gave her the orange juice. So, I asked her why she did that.

Her response was absolutely magical!

She said, my mum always tells me that when people are upset, it has more to do with them having to carry the world on their shoulders. During these moments, she says, I should help offload the world from their shoulders.

I wish I had had her wisdom when I was her age. Our parents probably tell us the same variation, but very few implement it like she did.

Be your own master....

An elderly Zen Master is about to die when his disciples gather around him and ask:
"Master, you never told us who your master was." We asked many times, but you always avoided the answer. Now that you are leaving this world, please tell us.

The master replied:
“I never answered that question because I didn’t have an exclusive master, I learned from lots and lots of people. The first I teach was a small child.

I went to a city once. Although I did not know the truth at the time, I was a highly educated and educated man. They are known throughout the country as famous scientists; even abroad. People began to walk up to me, believing that I knew the truth, and I unknowingly pretended to really know it. I was unconscious. I became a teacher without knowing or experiencing anything from the truth. Without entering my own inner world, I talked about things of tremendous significance. I knew all the scriptures, all in my little finger.

But imagine, at the time of the story, I was in a place where no one was known, in a remote country, and I longed for someone to ask me a question already and show me what I knew; but no one asked. I had to keep quiet for three days. It was like a fast for me. I was already very hungry for the audience, someone who was watching me, but I hadn’t met anyone who would have known me. I went into town. In the evening, a little boy was just holding a clay lantern in his hand. I addressed:
- Son, can I ask you something? Where are you taking this clay lamp?

"To the church," the boy replied. My mother said take it with me because it is dark there and my mother has a habit of placing a lantern in the church in the evenings so that the god of the church does not have to be in the dark.

- You look very intelligent. Can you tell me something else? Did you light this lamp yourself?
"Yes," the boy replied.

-Then, please answer another third question. If you lit the lantern, can you tell me where the flame came from? You had to see it.

The boy laughed to himself.

- I will show you something. Just listen, ”he said.

With that, he blew out the flame, then continued:

- The flame is gone before your eyes. Can you tell me where he went? You had to see it!

I couldn't answer, I was ashamed of myself. I leaned down and kissed her foot. He was my first master. At that moment, I realized that all my knowledge of philosophy and metaphysics was useless. I don't know a single thing about myself. Not even where the light comes from and where the light is going from and in the meantime I’m talking about who created the world how and when! After meeting the boy, I threw away all the knowledge I had learned so far; I burned all my holy documents. I gave up on the idea of being famous, throwing my whole reputation so far. I started begging, hiding my identity from everyone and slowly getting deeper and deeper into meditation, discovering my own intelligence. I became one with him ....

With that, the master closed his eyes and left in peace. The disciples stood for a while longer. A deep silence descended on them and they understood everything.
Be a master of yourself. The answers are in you. When you are not learning from your own experience, your knowledge is completely useless.

short stories...

*"Story One"*

A certain company has a tradition of holding a party and a lottery every Christmas Eve.

The rules of the lottery draw are as follows: each employee pays ten dollars as a fund. There are three hundred people in the company. In other words, a total of three thousand dollars can be raised.  The winner will take the sum .

On the day of the lottery draw, the office was filled with a lively atmosphere. Everyone wrote their names on the slips of paper and put them in the lottery box.

However, a young man hesitated when he wrote.  Because he thought that the company's cleaning aunt's frail and sickly son was going to have an operation recently, but she did not have the money to pay for the operation, which made her very troubled.

So, even though he knew that the chance of winning was slim, with only a three percent chance, the man wrote the name of the cleaner on the paper.

The tense moment came. The boss doubled in the lottery box, and finally drew out a note. The man also kept praying in his heart: I hope the cleaning aunt can win the prize...Then the boss carefully announced the winner’s  Name, a miracle happened!

The winner turned out to be the cleaner!  Cheers broke out in the office, and the cleaning lady hurriedly came to the stage to accept the award. She almost burst into tears and said movedly: I am so lucky!  With this money, my son has hope!

At the beginning of the party, while thinking about this "Christmas miracle", the man paced to the lottery box. He took out a piece of paper and opened it casually. The name on it was also the name of Aunt Clean!  The man was very surprised. He took out several pieces of paper one after another. Although the handwriting on them was different, the names were all the same, all of them were the names of the cleaning aunt!  The man's eyes were red, and he clearly understood that there is a Christmas miracle in the world, but the miracle will not fall from the sky, but people are required to create it by themselves!

 *"Story Two"*

One afternoon, I went for a walk with a friend in the suburbs. Suddenly, an old man in tattered clothes approached with a bag of green vegetables in his hand.  The sales of those vegetables are very poor, the leaves are dehydrated and yellow, and there are holes in them that are bitten by insects.  But my friend bought three bags without saying a word. The old man also embarrassedly explained: "I grew this vegetable myself. It rained a while ago, and the vegetable was soaked. It looks ugly. I'm sorry.

After the old man left, I asked my friend: Are you really going to eat these vegetables?

He said : No, these vegetables can no longer be eaten.

 Then why are you buying?

Because it is impossible for anyone to buy those vegetables .  If I don't buy it, the old man will probably have no income.

I admire my friend's good deeds, so I caught up with the old man and bought some vegetables from him.  The old man said very happily, "I sold it all day, and only you are willing to buy it. Thank you so much.

Several handfuls of green vegetables that I can't eat at all taught me a valuable lesson.

When we are in a low ebb, we all hope that miracles will happen to us; but when we are capable, are we willing to be the one who creates miracles?  !
